Perez Hilton is no stranger to controversy and his appearance as a judge at the Miss American pageant in Las Vegas on Sunday night has proved to be no exception!   During the question and answer phase of the competition, Perez Hilton choose to ask Miss California, Carrie Prejean a question about same sex marriage.  Her answer has sparked outrage from the LGBT community and has once again thrown the same sex debate marriage into the national spotlight.

Asked judge Perez Hilton to Prejean,  “Vermont recently became the 4th state to legalize same-sex marriage. Do you think every state should follow suit. Why or why not?”

We live in a land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage,” Prejean said. “And you know what, I think in my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that’s how I was raised.”

The audience reaction to Prejean’s answer was immediately mixed with boos and cheers.   A furious Perez hilton answered with a video response on his blog call Prejean a B%$^@, which he later apologized for and then retracted the apology on an interview with MSNBC.
