Morgan, who tells Russell to count him in at the next gay marriage protest, apologizes for the anti-gay remarks stating he is most sad about the comments he made about kids and bullying.

“I am deeply sorry for the comments I made.  What I am most sad about is the comments I made about kids and bullying,” Morgan told Simmons.  “I would never want any young person to think that I wasn’t on their side and if any young person thinks they can bully a young gay kid, come see me at 30 Rock.”

Simmons, a long time supporter of Morgan, first discovered the comedian when he gave him his first big break on Russell Simmons Presents Def Comedy Jam.

At one point Griffin linked hatred from anti-gay public figures and the current anti-LGBT policies such as DADT and Prop 8 to the suicides .  She told King, “Let’s cut the crap here.  In the same way we had trickle down economics in the 80′s we have trickle down homophobia today.  I really want people to connect the dots. I believe there’s a link between Prop 8, Don’t Ask Don’t Tell and now this string of teen suicides.  It’s almost sanctioned to bully gay people and treat them as second class citizens.  And I get very nervous when the parents of these teen bullies defend them by saying ‘oh kids will be kids’, when the suicide rate for gay teens is four times higher for gay youth.”

If you’re like me and you just can’t get enough of Jeff Lewis, Jenni, Zoila and the rest of the cast of ‘Flipping Out’ then you will be elated to hear that Season Three begins Tuesday on Bravo!

The fourth season of Bravo’s hit docu-series “Flipping Out” returns on Tuesday, August 10 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, with Jeff Lewis, everyone’s favorite obsessive-compulsive house-flipper. Throughout the last four years, viewers have watched as Lewis struggled with a downturn economy, some unruly clients and even a few backstabbing friends and employees, but somehow Lewis always finds a way to flip things right side up again.

Last season, Lewis cut back on flipping homes and started focusing on growing his design business, Jeff Lewis Design. With business now booming, Lewis is back to his stressed-out self and when House Beautiful magazine names him the designer for “Kitchen of the Year,” the flip-outs reach an all time high. It’s the most high-profile job he’s had to date – and it’s based in New York, so Lewis drags Jenni Pulos and Zoila Chavez across the country to be there for some much- needed moral support. Ladies, set your DVR’s or reserve a spot in front of your television Sunday night, June 20th (on Showtime), because the ladies of THE REAL L WORD: Los Angeles are moving in to show the world how it’s really done — sexy, sophisticated, Sapphic style.  The nine-episode, one-hour reality series comes from the preeminent chronicler of lesbian stories, Ilene Chaiken, who served as creator and executive producer of the long-running SHOWTIME drama series, THE L WORD, and will executive produce the new series along with reality producers Magical Elves (Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz) who made runaway successes of Project Runway, Top Chef  and Last Comic Standing. The series will premiere on SHOWTIME in 2010.

THE REAL L WORD: Los Angeles will follow a group of real-life, high-profile, left coast lesbians as they go about their daily lives, at work and play. Chaiken and the Elves plan to show viewers that they can be every bit as glamorous, fashionable, fabulous and even as cutthroat as those hetero housewives.

Reality?  Well we’ll have to watch and see….

Ellen said that Constance was “part of a new generation of leaders for her stand for gay rights”. Ellen had offered to throw a prom for Constance and the other kids at school who wanted to attend, however she declined saying what she wanted to was to have a prom at her school which was sponsored by the school district. The local chapter of the ACLU in Mississippi who is currently investigating the schools actions.   Ellen told Constance, “I admire you so much. When I was your age I never would have had the strength to do what you are doing.”

In a recent story, USA reported that the Itawamba County school board canceled the planned April 2 prom after McMillen challenged the district’s policy banning same-sex dates. McMillen also had asked to wear a tuxedo to the prom, but was told by the district that girls must wear gowns.

McMillen, aided by the American Civil Liberties Union of Mississippi, filed a federal lawsuit against district officials for alleged violations of her First Amendment right to freedom of expression and asked that the prom be reinstated. A hearing on that request is slated for Monday in Aberdeen .

In their one public statement, school board members said they canceled the prom because it was causing a distraction to the educational mission of the high school. They also cited safety concerns as a factor in their decision, while expressing their desire that a private group host the prom.

In the special, Rosie O’Donnell talks with her daughter Vivienne Rose about how their family which includes sister Chelsea, brothers Parker and Blake and parents Rosie and Kelli came about. Following her recent separation from Kelli, O’Donnell reaffirms the importance of family in a talk with Vivienne Rose, saying, “Even though Mommy Kelli and I aren’t living in the same house anymore, we’re still a family. Family is forever. And family is love.”

In A FAMILY IS A FAMILY, kids offer touching, profound and often funny insights about what being a family means to them. Among those featured are: children with two fathers or two mothers; a girl whose mother and father adopted her in China; three brothers who live with their mother and grandmother; a pair of mothers who are getting married to make one big family; and families with adopted kids and children born through in-vitro fertilization. Lianne and Katia think a family is a mommy and a daddy. Franklin says a family is “a bunch of people that live together for their life.” Kennan and Adam are nearly stumped trying to name all the possible combinations of parents and kids. Becky sums it up best, saying, “It doesn’t matter if you have one parent. It doesn’t matter if you have two moms. It doesn’t matter if you have two dads. Just stick with it. A family is a family.”

Interspersed with these portraits are musical performances and animated interludes, including: reggae star Ziggy Marley, his mother Rita Marley and sister Cedella Marley performing “I Love You Too”; four-year-old Najorae and her father singing their original song “Love Is the Thing;” 11-year-old Martin and his seven brothers and sisters performing “Cario (My Love),” nine-year-old Joey singing “Raised on Love,” a song he wrote with his mom and dad; and folk musician Elizabeth Mitchell performing “Blue Clouds” with husband Daniel Littleton and seven-year-old daughter Storey.

O’Donnell’s tongue-in-cheek performance of “My Science Project” tells the animated story of a young girl whose class project describes the scientific way she came to be. And Frank Sinatra’s rendition of “Too Marvelous for Words” is accompanied by an animated sequence of a sperm in top hat serenading a glamorous egg.

The soundtrack of A FAMILY IS A FAMILY IS A FAMILY also includes original songs written for the special, among them: “And Mom and Kid,” by They Might Be Giants, “My Family,” by Sweet Honey in the Rock and “A New Generation (Conner’s Theme),” by Charles Strouse. In addition to “Too Marvelous for Words,” classic recordings featured are “Baby Mine,” sung by Bonnie Raitt and Was (Not Was) and “A Bushel and a Peck,” performed by Doris Day.
